WEBSITE UPDATE
by Roxana / Oct 21, 2025
There have been a few changes at HDPK9 over the past year, and the website has yet to reflect all of them.
On a very personal note, you’ll notice that most of the dogs currently featured on here are my own — primarily Zulu and Azande, and also JellyBean. Between December of last year and this past February I lost all three of them. The grieving process has been challenging. Zulu was a few weeks shy of 13 years old, Azande had just turned 11, and Jelly was going to be 11 in two months. Different natural causes, but two of them were very unexpected.
Because they taught me so much and were such an intrinsic part of my business (including helping many of my clients, both humans and canine), it’s taken some time for the ground to settle and for me to decide where I wanted to go next, both personally and professionally.
This summer, I brought home a new working puppy. Bijoux will be six months old soon and is already building a solid foundation. He’ll be training for sport, but also to be an all-around companion, and potentially a service dog. You’ll start to see him joining me in classes, workshops, and other training activities.
In the meantime, the website will sit somewhere between the old and the new as I update different sections to include several workshops from last year and gradually add more recent photos.
As always, if you’d like to learn more about training options, check out the Services section — it’s a great place to start. And if you are unsure which program would be the best fit for you and your dog, feel free to reach out to schedule a free phone consultation.
