Founded by Roxana Vlasceanu in 2012, High Drive Pups, LLC (HDP K9) has been steadily growing and evolving, making a difference in the lives of hundreds of dogs and their people.
“For more than a decade, I have been working one-on-one with clients on training and behavior modification protocols. Over the years I also taught group classes, relationship-building workshops, and have been teaching and coaching other trainers as well.
Since 2014, I competed in several dog sports (Mondioring, French Ring, and IPO/IGP), and titled one of my dogs to Level 3 in both MR and FR. While I am currently taking a break from formally competing (as my dogs have gotten older and I am not ready for a puppy yet), I am still very passionate about the sports and enjoy teaching the exercises!
With respect to philosophy, I am a LIMA-leaning balanced trainer, which means I prefer to use the Least Intrusive, Minimally Aversive way to get from point A to point B with my clients and their dogs. I use primarily reward-based (R+) methods, however I also support and advocate for the safe, appropriate use of corrective tools on a case-by-case basis. I am very passionate about educating and building the relationship between people and dogs in ways that prioritize safety but are also mutually beneficial, for both ends of the leash.” – Roxana
